Fatigue: find the cause before choosing vitamins

Persistent fatigue does not always mean a vitamin deficiency. An “energy complex” cannot replace investigating the cause.

Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause weakness and anaemia. When B12 status is adequate, supplements have not been shown to increase energy. Discussing B12 status is especially useful with a vegan diet or impaired absorption.

Iron can help with iron deficiency, but it should not be taken at random. A doctor assesses symptoms, a complete blood count and measures of iron stores in the context of the individual situation.

This selection offers two different approaches, not an obligatory pair. Choose only what there is a reason to take, and check the amount of the ingredient per serving.

Before use

Persistent unexplained weakness needs medical assessment. Iron products are particularly dangerous if accidentally swallowed by children; keep them out of reach.

Educational information. Supplements do not replace a balanced diet or medical care.

Side by side

Compare the same ingredients and serving sizes. Extract weight, plant powder and active compound amounts are different measures. A larger number does not mean a better effect. Check the label for full ingredients and precautions.
